ARTC Telephone Service

For more than 40 years, the Cooperative has provided reliable and trustworthy voice service to the Alkyon and Darton regions. We are committed to the highest standard of quality and the newest forms of technology.

A variety of service plans are available to residental customers. Long-distance calling is available as an additional add-on. If you subscribe to a long-distance plan, you will be charged by the minute when you dial outside of your area code. However, with an ARTC unlimited long-distance subscription, you will be able to direct dial anywhere in North America for one fixed monthly rate. Don't miss out on this opportunity!

Assistance is available for low-income customers via the USAC LIFELINE program. Lifeline is a federal program that lowers the monthly cost of phone or Internet service. Please contact our office for more information.

Business Phone Service

ARTC provides telephone connectivity to businesses, government institutions, and industrial customers all across the Alkyon Ridge region.

Robust telephone access is a great way to improve your business' customer relations, as well as employee efficacy. ARTC provides assistance with phone installation and limited assistance with PABX installation and configuration.

Interested in a toll-free (1-800, 1-888, etc.) number? Contact your local ARTC branch office. Toll-free telephone numbers are an excellent way to ensure customer access to your business.

The Cooperative Looks Forward

At ARTC, we are always looking for ways to modernize and keep up-to-date with the most cutting-edge technology.

VoIP (Voice over InterNet Protocol) is an upcoming technique that allows telephone calls to be transmitted over TCP/IP circuits. Company engineers at the Darton HQ office are working on the implementation of this new technology. Test out VoIP service by connecting to our SIP server at sip.alkyonteleph.one, standard port UDP 5060. Log in with username voip and password alkyon, and open a SIP session to dial. You will receive a dial tone and will be able to make local calls! We recommend using a Soft Phone client such as Linphone or Zoiper.

Ten Digit Dialing

Note that as a result of changes imposed by the FCC and NANPA, ten-digit dialing is now mandatory in the ARTC service area.

This means that, where you may have previously dialed seven digits to reach numbers in your local area code, you must now dial the full ten digits (area code included) for all numbers.
